Since 2010, Tuning By Nick has been involved in the building, consultation, and tuning of K-series equipped vehicles, consistently surpassing customers' expectations. Whether it's a street car, show car, or dedicated motorsports platform, Nick has successfully tackled them all. The K-series engines have proven to be affordable, high-performance motors with boundless potential. Nick's extensive knowledge of these engines positions him to revolutionize the auto-sports industry.
Redefining a brand
Throughout the history of automobiles, the desire to achieve greater speed has driven mankind forward. In this pursuit, the iconic Porsche brand was born. Even today, the Porsche 987 Cayman/Boxster and 997 911 models remain remarkable vehicles, offering world-class vehicle dynamics, analog controls, and motorsports capabilities at an exceptional value. However, owners know there is only one issue: The dreaded M97 engine. Originally intended to address the shortcomings of the M96 engine used in previous 996 911s and 986 Boxsters, the M97 engine falls woefully short in terms of reliability and power potential. With issues like notorious IMS bearing failures, bore scoring, coolant pipe failures, and shifter cable failures, maintaining the health of an M97 engine proves to be an incredibly expensive and stressful endeavor.
A New Beginning
At Tuning By Nick, our goal is to leverage our extensive knowledge of K20/K24 engines, accumulated over the past five years, to provide a comprehensive solution that truly unleashes the power and potential these vehicles deserve. Nick's journey began with the successful engine swap on his personal 997 911 C2S, which left him astonished by the substantial power improvements achieved (after adding a Garrett G-series unit) and the enhanced drivability it offered. Following the release of several highly acclaimed videos on Nick's YouTube channel (youtube.com/@tuningbynick), the response from the audience was overwhelming. Thus, the K-Swap Porsche project was born. Today, Nick and his team are fully committed to delivering the highest quality components that have been meticulously designed, rigorously tested, and surpass the standards set by the original factory equipment. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate with you and bring your vision to life, whether it involves utilizing our "bolt-in/Plug and Play" kits or selecting individual components from our A La Carte catalog for your own customized build.
